Welcome to Mount Isa's Community Helicopter!

The Mount Isa Community Helicopter Inc is a not for profit organisation relying on funding and donations from the community to support its operations.

The association has established a fulltime Community Helicopter operation to service Mount Isa and the surrounding region.
The Mount Isa based Community  Helicopter operation will be an integral link in the rescue chain of survival in the North West and will significantly enhance existing services by offering a highly specialised emergency medical response service for the critically ill and injured.

The service will bring a “flying hospital” to people in need – at the side of the road after a motor vehicle accident, at the workplace after an industrial accident, or in a remote area where a sick or injured person desperately needs to be airlifted to the specialised care and treatment of a hospital.

Although each mission will carry a significant cost, the service will be provided at no cost to the patient.

The Mount Isa Community Rescue Helicopter service would be regarded as a boost for rural health, medical and emergency services in the region.
